Website Terms of Service & Content Submission Agreement

These terms apply to music, audio, avatars, artwork, covers, remixes, verses, comments and other material submitted through the Team N John website ("Submissions"). By submitting, you agree to these terms.

1. Age and guardian consent

You must be at least 16 years old to submit content or create an account. If you are 16 or 17 years old, or otherwise a minor where you live, you must have your parent or legal guardian's express consent to submit, create an account, agree to these terms and grant the rights below. Team N John may ask for proof of that consent. Users under 18 years old may not submit or create an account without that consent. Users under 16 years old may not submit content or create an account under any circumstances, with or without consent. Team N John will immediately remove any submission from a user under 16 years old.

2. Ownership and platform license

You keep ownership and copyright in your original work. By submitting, you grant Team N John, its affiliates and licensees a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and transferable license to store, stream, broadcast, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, publicly display and distribute your Submission, solely to operate, curate, promote, broadcast and improve the platform.

This license does not transfer ownership of your original work. Further commercial use beyond these platform purposes is subject to Section 4.

3. Your rights and responsibilities

Only send your own work, or work you have permission to share. You confirm that you own or control the rights needed to submit it and grant the license above, including any relevant recording, publishing and visual-art rights.

Your Submission must not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights. You must have permission for any third-party material, including samples and loops.

For a cover, remix, verse or other rendition, you are responsible for the permissions and licenses required for its submission and any permitted public use, including mechanical or synchronization licenses where needed. You may rely on a legal exception only if it actually applies; non-commercial use alone is not permission. You remain responsible for uncleared underlying rights.

Submitting a cover or verse does not give you any ownership or other rights in the underlying song.

4. Right of first refusal for further use

For music, artwork, avatars, renditions and substantive comments or discussion topics ("Creative Contributions"), you grant Team N John an exclusive first right to negotiate a license, acquisition or other agreement for commercial use beyond basic platform display and streaming. This includes secondary projects, derivative works, merchandise and other media distribution.

If we want to pursue that use, we will email the address you provide with the proposed use and compensation terms. You agree to negotiate with us in good faith for 14 business days from the date of that notice.

This right expires if we do not send notice within 30 days after your Submission, or if we do not reach a signed agreement within the 14-business-day negotiation window. You are then free to use or license the Creative Contribution elsewhere, subject to the platform license in Section 2.

Any further commercial use under this section requires a separate signed agreement. Submitting alone does not mean you have agreed to a feature, release or payment.

5. Review, deletion and moderation

We will review Submissions within 30 days of receipt. All Submissions will be deleted after 60 days from receipt. To ask for earlier deletion, email teamnjohn@gmail.com with enough information to identify your Submission.

A Submission is not an offer of an official feature, release or payment. Review does not guarantee selection, a broadcast, playlist placement or inclusion in any project. Team N John decides what to select.

Submitting does not entitle you to payment, royalties or reimbursement unless a separate signed agreement provides for them.

Keep your own backup copies. Team N John is not responsible for lost, damaged, corrupted or delayed Submissions caused by technical failures, network outages or browser issues.

You are responsible for your comments and feedback. Do not submit content that is defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening, obscene, discriminatory or unlawful. Team N John may monitor, edit, reject or remove comments or Submissions at its discretion without prior notice.

6. Required form confirmations

Use a required age selection, a separate required guardian consent confirmation where applicable, and agreement to these terms.

Age: the user selects either "16 or 17 years old" or "18 years old or older."

Guardian consent (required for users who are 16 or 17 years old): "I confirm that I have my parent or legal guardian's express consent to submit content, create an account and agree to these terms."

Agreement: "I have read and agree to the Terms of Service & Content Submission Agreement. My Submission is my own work or work I have permission to share. I grant the platform license and agree to the further-use terms in Section 4."

Rights line under the form: "Only send your own work, or work you have permission to share. Sending a cover or verse does not give you any rights to the song. A submission is not an offer of an official feature, release or payment. Submissions are reviewed within 30 days and all are deleted after 60 days. To delete yours sooner, email teamnjohn@gmail.com."
